Public Education / Community Event Request

Aurora Fire Rescue provides quality public education and community events. AFR strives to provide quality education to our community by providing free medical training such as Stop the Bleed and Hands-Only CPR. We also offer community engagement to our local schools by teaching fire safety and showing what a firefighter does.

To maintain our integrity and ethical standards, we will evaluate all requests and make every effort to approve those requests. Lastly, if your request is to promote private business or political interests, we will deny your request. Please note that crews must remain in service due to emergency operations, and due to this, may arrive late, leave early, or miss the event.

Please make requests at least four weeks in advance and complete all fields on this form that apply to your request. After submitting the form, please wait for the confirmation page. If there is no confirmation, we did not receive your request. Please see below for our limitations for scheduling public education and community events.

Please note our limits with regard to your Request:

  • Educational Requests: We can teach up to 35 people. If your event is more significant than 35, our Emergency Operations department must approve the request. Please give us at least four weeks in advance to accommodate your request.
  • Fire Station Visits: Aurora Fire will only accept requests or groups of up to 35.

If you have questions or need to cancel, please write to aurorafirecrr@auroragov.org or call (720) 477-0315.
