Rates
Commercial Photography Permit
Commercial photography sessions require a $25 permit processing fee made payable to City of Aurora. Insurance may be required.
Commercial Film Permit
Commercial video production in Aurora Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department properties will include the following fees, made payable to the City of Aurora. Insurance may be required. Please note, other fees may apply depending on the site. Fees may also be waived at the discretion of the Department Director.
Low Impact Commercial: (Less than 5 crew and 10 talents. Maximum of 2 crew trucks allowed; no semi-trailers; park remains open to the public)
$250 (1-3 hours)
$500 (3-6 hours)
High Impact Commercial: (More than 5 crew and 10 talents. Park may be closed to the public)
$1000 (per day)
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drone) Commercial Use Permit Application is required when flying for commercial use in properties managed by Aurora Parks, Recreation & Open Space (PROS) Department.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted regulations in Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)- Part 107 pertaining to the registration, remote pilot certification, and operation of small Unmanned Aircraft System in the National Airspace System. All local/state/federal and FAA laws and regulations regarding usage will be adhered to in regard to the locations for use and the type of usage, including attaining proper clearance and FAA Certificates of Waiver or Authorization, if necessary.

You must provide a copy of current Remote Pilot Airman Certificate and a copy of a current liability insurance certificate. The launching or landing of drones is prohibited in the following locations unless written authorization has been used by the Director of Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department:
